Too Many Fireworks is delighted to finally release the wonderful “long story short” by Polish musician, Mateusz Franczak. The album is a collection of partially improvised songs interspersed with instrumental tracks. The changing of the seasons and the fact that recordings were made in a home setting, give the songs a very intimate, personal, and raw character. One of the goals of the album was to attempt to observe the creative process itself, to experiment and search for the appropriate means of expression and to let mistakes happen when they may.
The album was mixed by The Norman Conquest, a producer and recording engineer specialising in esoteric music at the intersections of experimental, rock, metal, avant-garde & drone, and known for his work with Barn Owl, Grouper, Gregg Kowalsky, Ellen Fullman or Blixa Bargeld (Einstürzende Neubauten). Mastering was done by Marcin Bocinski, known for his work with Eugeniusz Rudnik, Jacaszek, and the Alameda 5.
The album is now available on digital download and on CD.
