I sing “Lullabies For Eternal Dreaming” for those who died but they have not gone away. Behind darkness there is light! It is a farewell ritual. It is reminiscing about people who were part of this place. And it is the commemoration of the Jewish history blended into city streets and temples. Lullabies for eternal dreaming lullaby souls because that is what they are for… The ones sung in Hebrew lullaby the souls of the dead, and they are a request, a silent prayer, a hope for eternal dreaming.
The lullabies are also a picture/pictures/images of the times when ordinary life went on. It is about listening and looking. From the saved old photographs there arises a projection dedicated to each city separately. It is about recognizing places and getting to know the people who lived in the places in which we play today. That is recalling their names and faces. In the trance projection presented during the whole concert we meet them many times, just like we meet people on the street each day. And we look at them for the first time.
“Lullabies For Eternal Dreaming” are dedicated to those who have gone away and those who have arrived. And to those who have the premonition about their Jewish roots but their sense of belonging can be fulfilled only through the yearning for the ancestors they have never known. We dedicate the lullabies also to those who bear their Jewishness deep in their hearts. And, finally, to those who feel that it is in any way important to them.
„Kołysanki Na Wieczny Sen” to rytuał pożegnania. To wspomnienie ludzi, którzy byli częścią miejsca. Uczczenie żydowskiej historii wtopionej w ulice miast i świątyń. To utulenie w muzyce pamięci o wielu pokoleniach polskich Żydów.
To słuchanie i zapatrzenie.
