“When The Light Is Mine” chronicles R.E.M. from 1982-1987 while they were signed to I.R.S. Records. The band rapidly became critical and college radio favourites during this period but only towards the end did they breakthrough into the mainstream with the huge international success of the single “The One I Love”. This compendium of clips, produced in collaboration with R.E.M. and initially released to celebrate their 25th anniversary, includes all of their original music videos, the 20 minute film “Left Of Reckoning” and performances from The Tube and The Old Grey Whistle Test.
