Orkiestra PRiTV w Łodzi
pod dyr. Henryka Debicha, Andrzeja Rokickiego, Jerzego Bauera i Marka Sarta
The year 1975 in the life of the Polish Radio Orchestra in Łódź, conducted by Henryk Debich, was a special time, combining funk rhythms and string elegance under the sign of easy listening. A time of breakthrough, change, reinvention. Hunting time and fundus examination.
The album "String Beat" released in 1975 is one of the most important Polish albums of all time. However, it showed only a small part of the capabilities of the Polish Radio Orchestra in Łódź at that time. "Hunting" complements this picture with the missing colors, bringing not only expressive songs based on swinging rhythms ("Hunting for big game", "Monika"). Next to them there are distorted guitars, Latin rhythms, recordings in the spirit of British library music, and even a Bach arrangement!
The material comes from the original archival tapes of the Orchestra from the archives of Polish Radio Łódź. The whole thing has been remastered. The CD version is enriched with four additional songs compared to the vinyl one. The booklet contains a short sketch about the recordings. The publishing house continues the series documenting the achievements of the PRiTV Orchestra in Łódź, which has already released the albums "City", "Horyzonty", "Majówka", "Przekora" and "Rajd". To be continued soon!
Rok 1975 w życiu Orkiestry Polskiego Radia w Łodzi pod dyrekcją Henryka Debicha to czas szczególny, zderzający ze sobą funkowe rytmy i smyczkową elegancję spod znaku easy listening. Czas przełomu, zmian, odkrywania się na nowo. Czas polowań i badania dna oka.
Wydany w 1975 roku album „String Beat” to jedna z najważniejszych polskich płyt wszech czasów.
