Sarangi, dhadh, algoza, dholak, ghada, chimta, tumbi, harmonium, tambourine, banjo, bukchu, dafli, khartal, dholki, damru, dauru, tumba, ektara, sap, kato, ghadba, vanjali, tambur, and been, are some of the instruments that are used in music of Punjab, India. They are played for relaxation, celebration, religious ceremonies and spiritual activities. This gives Punjab a musical heritage that is extensive and varied. This album is a potpourri of sorts, a mixture of short instrumentals featuring almost all the musical instruments of Punjab. It presents a variety of genres and styles performed by artists from across this vast region in India.
