All material on this CD was recorded in the studio in 1972 during the time the Dolls were first building their Legend with their historic performances at the Mercer Street Arts Center in what was to become SOHO, NYC. It pre-dates their two releases on Mercury records. “Lipstick Killers” is how the band truly sounded, raw and live, before they were put into the studio by Mercury Records.
