Creating some of the most innovative sounds in East Asia's underground scene, Jambinai are an award- winning post-rock act that was formed in Seoul, South Korea in 2009. The group consists of Ilwoo Lee (guitar and piri), Bomi Kim (haegum), and Eun Youg Sim (geomungo). Ushering Korean traditional music into the 21st century, Jambinai's stunning sonic compositions mix mesmerizing sounds from the past with elements of folk, metal, and electronic music. The album 'A Hermitage' is their second full-length release, which follows up 'Differance' (2012) and their self-titled EP 'Jambinai' (2010). The group has been wowing audiences at a number of international festivals throughout 2014 and 2015 including SXSW (US), Roskilde festival (DK), Exit festival (SR), Primavera (ES), Glastonbury (UK) and Paleo festival (CH). With 'A Hermitage' released on Bella Union and an elaborate, international tour, 2016 is poised to be Jambinai's best year so far.
