HIGH LEVEL STATIC stormed the world wide electro charts and Sideline staff charts with their self produced mini CD in the Winter of 2001.
The single 'Absence' instantly became a hit and rightfully took its place in the hall of great commercial electro pop tracks, right between 'Beloved' by VNV NATION and 'Call The Ships To Port' by COVENANT. A lot of things have happened since that time and HIGH LEVEL STATIC strike back with their full length album on Trisol. 'Shining' is preceded by a nifty little instrumental intro - a perfect start for the album. But this is after all a 'dance' album, so the beats quickly take first place with their new version of their cult classic 'Absence', a track that is destined to cause havoc on dance floors all over the world for many years. HIGH LEVEL STATIC's production is a perfect blend of power end elegance. The production is tight and top-notch and perfectly emphasising the balance between the pulsating electro beats and the warm, infectious melodies that will reside in the head of the listener forever. This is definitely one of the best electro albums of the year, perhaps in many years and so it is no wonder that this band has been voted as the best newcomer act in the forthcoming February issue of ORKUS! Including the club hits 'Absence', 'Shine' and 'Breathing Still'. File Under: Electro.
