James Chance is a dangerous and irrepressible man. He makes you think of one of those wild horses that man was not meant to tame. Now with three Bonus tracks from a 4-Track session recorded in 1987. In the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, no artist represented the heart and soul of the No Wave/New Wave movement as much as James Chance. Chance and the Contortions and (alter-ego) James White and the Blacks were media stars all over the U.S.A. and Europe, heralding a new movement of Jazz/Punk/Funk. He was a prime time creator (co-founder of Teenage Jesus & the Jerks w/ Lydia Lunch), bandleader, catalyst and motivating force. His early Brian Eno-produced cuts on No New York (Antilles 1978), followed by two full vinyl albums on Ze Records, launched a career as radiant as a shooting star across the musical firmament.
