The impulse to create this album was an idea of homunculus and bothering me questions: How such a being would perceive the world? How the asylum for homunculus would look like? As always in case of my recordings, places, a states of limbo and passivities are playing an important role. "Handmade Man" is a kind of concept album connected with homunculus, but devoid of the literality it is possible to interpret it in many different ways. It could be about searching of the refuge in nature, or about human's stupidity, greed and fanaticism.

Impulsem do stworzenia albumu była idea homunculusa i pytania z nią związane, które mnie nurtowały. Jak taka istota postrzegałaby świat? Z czym utożsamiałaby bezpieczeńswo? Jak często w przypadku moich nagrań duże znaczenie miał stan zawieszenia, pasywności. "Handmade Man", mimo iż nagrany jako koncept album, pozbawiony jest dosłowności i daje się interpretować na różne sposoby. Może więc być o szukaniu schronienia wśród lasów lub o ludzkiej głupocie i fanatyzmie
