Editor's info:
The complete 2-LP collection Stan Getz at the Shrine (Norgran MGN2000-2), featuring the leader in a quintet format sharing the front-line with valve trombonist Bob Brookmeyer live in Los Angeles on November 8, 1954. Although most of it was recorded at the Shrine Auditorium, the last two tracks were actually made in a studio the following day with a different drummer. An alternate version of the opening song, "Flamingo", from the November 9, 1954 studio session has been added here as a bonus.
Includes 12-page booklet

The chemistry between the horn players is particularly stunning on the conclusion of "Flamingo," where the two horns are deep in conversation. The concert ends with the old war-h
