Jaryn Janek has been a part of music scene for many years and his first major success is associated with the band Eleison. Further, he performed in bands
The Gizd Q, Krucipüsk or Benedikta. Today, we can see him in the experimental band called Med, in a folk-jazz band Seven Days, Eturnity, Lada, Al Yaman, also in the bands of Iva Marešová, Kamil Střihavka or Václav Noid Bárta. He was also a sideman in all stars band of B.S.P. or in České Srdce.

“Most of the songs was created with bass guitar and I was quite tempted to make a bass album in a different way, a little differently than usual, and go through the entire process – from initial demo recording to graphic design of CD cover,” admits Janek Jaryn one of the reasons why he made a solo album.

The album “Ty Lidi“ is essentially an attempt to create a space to MEETING people from different musical and non-musical worlds and also a challenge to recover the true meaning of this phrase. The bassist Jaryn Janek let resonate many female voices in the songs of his solo debut; these voices naturally connect to the male element which plays the role of earthy base. But lot of it remains implied only. Each song is like a sequence of film images from which remains a strong feeling and a possibility for our own interpretation. The title itself also remind us that the opposites don’t have to necessarily mean the contradiction – that is to say that relationships are explored in the song in live dialogue – sometimes there is only a touch, sometimes they blend, yet still they remain themselves. Just as it could be forever in the world.
