Someone once wrote, "Think Motorhead crossed with The Hives, and you get The Stubs"—and that would be accurate, essentially.
The band formed in late 2010 from the ashes of Jordy Warsaws, a band that simply couldn't last. After Jordy's breakup, bassist (Luke Puke) and guitarist/vocalist (Tommy Quitter) decided to continue their chosen direction and, after adding a drummer (Rudolf Stern), began playing as The Stubs.

Their debut album was created in a rehearsal room, so it probably won't surprise anyone that it sounds raw and embodies what's called "low-budget rock and roll." Let's face it, you won't find any wistful sissy songs here, and fans of velvety sounds will likely immediately have a fit.
The lyrical content is no less rough. The Stubs don't try to be overly polite and have quite specific views on social issues ("Black Sheep"), a career in the music industry ("We Are The Stubs"), the Western lifestyle ("Alright Suicide") and interpersonal relationships ("Do The World A Favour And Die").
