The concert was recorded during the first edition of SpaceFest! in December 2011 in Gdansk.

Pure Phase Ensemble was an international music collective created specially for the SpaceFest! festival. 12 musicians from Poland and the UK took part in a workshop held at Laznia CCA and run by Raymond Dickaty (ex-Spiritualized). Together they composed the music material which was later performed during the festival.

Those of you who attended the festival probably remember the fantastic concert of Pure Phase Ensemble – it was simply mind-blowing. There were guitars from hell, angelic voices, shivers down your spine, tears, psychedelic flow, beautiful melodies, space energy, tanks, the darkest sun and demons. Ray Dickaty put it in a nutshell: „spacerock psychedelic monster”.

SpaceFest! festival was realized by Nasiono Association in cooperation with LAZNIA Centre for Contemporary Art, the British Council, Fabryka Batycki and thanks to the support of the City of Gdansk and House.



The second edition of SpaceFest! will be held on 7-8 December 2012

Koncert Pure Phase Ensemble został zarejestrowany podczas pierwszej edycji festiwalu SpaceFest! w grudniu 2011.

Utwory zostały skomponowane podczas warsztatów prowadzonych w CSW Łaźnia przez Raya Dickaty (ex-Spiritualized) i wykonane na żywo przez 12-osobowy, międzynarodowy kolektyw instrumentalny, stworzony specjalnie na potrzeby festiwalu.

W składzie tego zespołu-orkiesty nazwanego Pure Phase Ensemble byli:

Muzyka Pure Phase Ensemble to gitary z piekła rodem i anielskie głosy, dreszcze, łzy wzruszenia, psychodela, energia z kosmosu, czołgi, najciemniejsze słońce i demony. Ray Dickaty podsumował to w 3 słowach: "spacerock psychedelic monster". Karol Schwarz w jednym: "spacenoisefuckinamazingpsychadelicshoegazetrip".

Utwór'Darkest Sun' z powyższego klipu był finałowym utworem, zamykającym koncert tej supergrupy – prawdziwej perełki podczas festiwalu.

SpaceFest! 2011 został zorganizowany przez Stowarzyszenie Nasiono we współpracy z Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej „Łaźnia”, Fabryką Batycki, przy wsparciu British Council, Miasta Gdańska oraz marki House.
