"Lost Level" is an album created as a result of a two-year collaboration between Poznań-based musicians: clarinetist Piotr Mełech and electronics player Patryk Lichota. The recording process was conducted in two stages. First, the duo recorded sound samples in the studio during numerous sessions of free improvisation – based on preparations and expanded articulations of the clarinet, tenor and soprano saxophones, and bass guitar.

This audio material then became the basis for building a virtual electronic instrument, allowing for the most flexible and dynamic transformations possible and engaging in dialogue with the live instrument. In this way, the musicians developed their own formulas for real-time composition. Individual modules and structures are in constant process, subjected to constant deconstruction, processing, and sonic manipulation. This creates music that is remarkably organic, shimmering with colors and shapes, like untamed vegetation on a mysterious island in another dimension. The clarinet parts here resemble the tales of a "traveler-observer," at times providing a kind of commentary on various perspectives on this reality, and at other times blending into the texture of an active, sonic environment.

„Lost Level” to album, który powstał w wyniku dwuletniej współpracy poznańskich muzyków: klarnecisty Piotra Mełecha i posługującego się elektroniką Patryka Lichoty. Praca nad nagraniami przebiegała dwuetapowo. Najpierw duet w trakcie wielu sesji swobodnej improwizacji zarejestrował w studio próbki dźwiękowe – które opierały się na preparacjach i poszerzonych środkach artykulacyjnych klarnetu, saksofonu tenorowego i sopranowego oraz gitary basowej.
Następnie ten materiał dźwiękowy stał się podstawą do budowania wirtualnego instrumentu elektronicznego, który pozwala na możliwie najbardziej elastyczne i dynamiczne przekształcenia nagrań i prowadzenie dialogu z żywym instrumentem. W ten sposób muzycy wypracowali własne formuły real-time composition. Poszczególne moduły i struktury są w ciągłym procesie, poddawane nieustannym dekonstrukcjom, przetworzeniom, brzmieniowym manipulacjom. Dzięki temu powstaje muzyka niezwykle organiczna, mieniąca się barwami i kształtami, niczym nieokiełznana roślinność na tajemniczej wyspie innego wymiaru. Partie klarnetów są tu niczym opowieści "podróżnika-obserwatora", raz to będąc swoistym komentarzem różnych ujęć tej rzeczywistości, by po chwili wtopić się w fakturę aktywnego, dźwiękowego środowiska.
