12 grudnia 2012r. w Nowym Jorku odbył się niezwykły koncert charytatywny wspierający ofiary huraganu Sandy. W legendarnej sali koncertowej Madison Square Garden wystąpili najwybitniejsi współcześni artyści, m.in. Eric Clapton, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin (Coldplay), The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, The Who, Paul McCartney, Bon Jovi. Za pomocą telewizji, internetu i radia koncert obejrzało i usłyszało ponad 2 miliardy ludzi na całym świecie.
Zapis całego koncertu ukaże się na DVD "12-12'12 The Concert for Sandy Relief", a fundusze zebrane z jego sprzedaży zasilą fundusz "Robin Hood Relief Fund", który dostarcza środki finansowe, materiały i porady dla lokalnych organizacji wspierających rodziny i osoby, które zostały najbardziej pokrzywdzone przez huragan.
