A documentary of a unique performance of a mass by Joseph Schnabel, a composer, conductor, and organizer of musical life in Wrocław in the first half of the 19th century, a friend of Elsner. Schnabel had a significant influence on the repertoire of monastic chapels in Greater Poland. "Missa in A flat," with its musical layer devoid of major contrasts, its song-like melodic structure, and the prominent role of the choir, demonstrates the composer's excellent grasp of ecclesiastical style (religious genres constitute approximately 90% of his output) and remains liturgically useful.
Joseph Schnabel's Quintet in C major for guitar and string quartet, one of the composer's few secular works, is an interesting, elegant, typically classical composition, with instrumentation typical of its era.

Schnabel wywarł duży wpływ na repertuar kapel klasztornych w Wielkopolsce. "Missa in As" z pozbawioną większych kontrastów warstwą muzyczną, pieśniową melodyką i dużą rolą chóru, pokazuje świetną znajomość kościelnego stylu u kompozytora (gatunki religijne stanowią ok. 90% jego twórczości) i pozostaje wciąż przydatną liturgicznie.
Kwintet C-dur Josepha Schnabla na gitarę i kwartet smyczkowy, jedno z nielicznych świeckich dzieł kompozytora, to ciekawa, zgrabna, typowo klasyczna kompozycja, z typowym dla swej epoki instrumentarium.
