“Recoiled” is a rambunctious alchemy, of magikal Coil sensibilities and hi-tech home circa 90’s mixing technique, all fused in the cave-like early studios of Danny Hyde / Peter Christopherson. These were the unrestrained PRE- BIG studio- mix downs, of four songs which long time Coil admirer / collaborator Trent Reznor requested Coil to remix. Reznor sent over the original multi-tracks and DATs to Hyde / Christopherson, who independently mixed versions and then met to synch both creations, molding them into these master versions. ”Recoiled” includes a fuller, more opulent version of the track ‘Closer’, which eventually made it onto the opening credits to the movie “SE7EN“. These 5 lengthy compositions (just under 40 minutes) are pre-Ableton / laptop generation type priest song creations, with the use of baby alarms and numerous wires to create bespoke effects. These legendary tracks were always rumoured to exist and, only the due diligence of a dedicated NIN forum who hunted them down, are released/unleashed for your listening pleasure. 4 of the tracks were released on the download-only “Uncoiled”. A bonus, previously unheard track from the same sessions closes the album. Jhonn Balance is also manifest on this gilded constellation. Beautifully remastered.

"Recoiled" to szalona alchemia magicznej wrażliwości Coil i hi-tech'owej domowej techniki miksowania w stylu z lat 90-tych, wszystko to zarejestrowane w przypominającym jaskinię wczesnym studiu Danny'ego Hyde'a (Coil, Electric Sewer Age) i Petera Christophersona (Coil, Throbbing Gristle).

To były niczym nieskrępowane wersje czterech utworów Nine Inch Nails, o których zremiksowanie poprosił Coil jego długoletni wielbiciel i współpracownik Trent Reznor. Reznor wysłał oryginalne multi-tracki i DAT-y do Hyde'a i Christophersona, którzy niezależnie od siebie zmiksowali poszczególne wersje, a następnie spotkali się, by zsynchronizować oba nagrania i stworzyć z nich wersje główne.

"Recoiled" zawiera pełniejszą, bardziej bogatą wersję utworu "Closer", który ostatecznie znalazł się na napisach początkowych filmu "SE7EN". Te 5 długich kompozycji (trwających nieco poniżej 40 minut) to utwory w stylu przed-Abletonowym sprzed czasów ery laptopów, w których wykorzystano dziecięce alarmy i liczne okablowanie syntezarorów modularnych, by stworzyć wyjątkowy efekt na tę specjalną okazję.

O tych legendarnych utworach mówiło się zawszę, że istnieją i tylko dzięki staranności jednego z zaangażowanych forów NIN, który je odnalazł, zostały ujawnione dla Waszej przyjemności słuchania. Cztery z tych utworów zostały wydane na wydanym tylko do pobrania wydawnictwie "Uncoiled". Album zamyka bonusowy, wcześniej nie słyszany utwór z tych samych sesji nagraniowych. Jhonn Balance również pojawia się na tej ozłoconej konstelacji. Album został pięknie zremasterowany.
