It has been a year since the release of highly-acclaimed album entitled "To West and Blue". After various archive releases (the second volume in the rarities collection entitled "Seeds in the Tide" plus expanded reissue of a classic album "The Fires of the Borderlands") and new albums on other labels ("Psi-Transient" and "Conduits And Estuaries"), Robin Storey aka Rapoon presents a carefully woven new masterpiece called "Fall of Drums".

The new Rapoon album marks his return not only to the analogue electronics territories, but also to ethnic rhythms which he was known for in the very early days of his solo project. We are back to Middle Eastern territories, to deserts, opium hallucinations and ghosts whisper amidst the sand. 4 long hypnotic tracks of staggering beauty take us on an hour-long journey into your subconsciousness. In other words, it is another top quality album from Robin Storey.

The CD is housed in gatefold sleeve in the vein of Japanese-style vinyl replica and is strictly limited to 500 copies.The cover is based on paintings by Robin Storey and the design was handled again by Maciej Mehring. "Fall of Drums" was mastered by Maciej Bartkowiak (who was the mastering engineer on previous Rapoon releases). The whole production process was overseen by Michał Porwet.

Minął rok od premiery dobrze przyjętego albumu „To West and Blue”. Po kilku archiwalnych publikacjach (druga część "Seeds in the Tide" oraz specjalna dwupłytowa edycja "The Fires of the Borderlands") a także nowych krążkach wydanych w innych wytwórniach ("Psi-Transient" oraz "Conduits And Estuaries") Robin Storey jako RAPOON prezentuje zupełnie nowe dzieło, zatytułowane "Fall of Drums".

Na tym krążku powraca nie tylko do analogowej elektroniki, ale sięga do etnicznej stylistyki, z której znany był głównie na początku swojej solowej działalności. Prowadzi nas na Bliski Wschód, na pustynie, w opiumowe halucynacje i szepty duchów wśród piasku. 4 długie, hipnotyczne utwory wprawiają w zachwyt, zapraszają do ponad godzinnej podróży w głąb świadomości. Innymi słowy, to jest inny album, jednak najwyższej próby, do której zdążył przyzwyczaić nas Robin Storey.

Album wydany w opakowaniu a’la CD gatefold (replika japońskich wydań) i jest ściśle limitowany do 500 szt. Projekt graficzny, w oparciu o obrazy Robina Storeya, przygotował Maciej Mehring. „Fall of Drums” zostało zmasterowane przez Macieja Bartkowiaka (odpowiedzialnego również za wcześniejsze materiały Rapoon.). Nad całym procesem wydawniczym czuwał Michał Porwet.
