Capella Thoruniensis chamber orchestra was founded in 2009 on the initiative of the current Music Director Filip Wroniszewski. The core members are leading musicians who are permanently associated with artistic circles of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Region. The main idea behind the creation of the orchestra is performing and promoting classical music. A characteristic feature of the ensemble is its sound, which was achieved by a combination of  bowed classical string instruments of contemporary design with baroque bows. The orchestra's repertoire consists mainly of pieces of the Baroque and Classical periods, as well as occasionally performed contemporary chamber musical compositions. Capella Thoruniensis is a young, vigorous and exuberant group -  in the years 2010- 2014, they played  more than 80 concerts performing at the international festival "Toruń Music and Architecture" (2011), early music festival "Musica Antiqua Zneynae" (2014) and  twice taking part in the prestigious project organized by the Marshal's Office of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Region entitled "Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Region " (2011/2012 ). In October 2012 the ensemble did a first Polish performance of Piotr Moss’ musical piece “ Snuć miłość “/ “Spin the love”.

Nagranie jest debiutem fonograficznym orkiestry kameralnej Capella Thoruniensis. Krążek zawiera swobodnie zestawione kompozycje pochodzące z epok Baroku i Klasycyzmu – czasu emancypacji i początków gwałtownego rozwoju muzyki instrumentalnej. Materiał muzyczny znajdujący się na płycie został zarejestrowany 14.06.2014r. w kościele p.w. N.M.P. Królowej Polski, podczas drugiej edycji żnińskiego festiwalu muzyki dawnej „Musica Antiqua Znaynae”.
