A junction of eastern romance and western poetics, inspired by such artists, as Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Coco Rosie, Antony and the Johnsons, expressed in charismatic vocal phrases and subtle, yet rich arrangements.
Maja Olenderek Ensemble prezentuje muzykę z pogranicza magicznych singer-songwriterskich ballad, indie, folku i jazzu. Ich styl wymyka się powszechnym klasyfikacjom: wysmakowane baśniowe narracje, delikatny dziewczęcy blues, muzyczne wizje rodem z sennych koszmarów, a także elementy dynamicznego etno. Całość okraszona onirycznymi tekstami, skrzętnie opakowana w "akustyczne złotko". Zespół opowiada muzyczne historie, w których znaleźć można odniesienia do klasycznych kompozycji sprzed lat jak i do współczesnych nurtów, takich jak amerykański freak folk (Coco Rosie, Antony and the Johnsons), w głosie Mai pobrzmiewają też inspiracje stylem Kate Bush i Tori Amos.
Once the music came to Poland. It was very gentle, so nobody can hear it.\\r\\nExcept Maja and her friends. \\r\\nThey came to studio and caught the music, transforming it into fairytale.\\r\\nThere are few songs that deserve to be hits, to be playing on radiostations and ringtones.\\r\\nGreat harmonies, chimeric lyrics and rhytms, which encourage to singing, walking down the street.\\r\\nBubble town is fragile and playful, warm and honest. \\r\\nThe place we all need to return, to become children, to escape from troubles, to fly and to find pure ourselves. \\r\\nThis album have so many layers, moods and senses, that you can listen it to all year round.
