A live concert version of Zorn’s acclaimed song project! In celebration of his 60th Birthday, Zorn asked his most acclaimed vocal collaborators to write lyrics to select compositions from his vast musical catalog. Including music originally written for Naked City, Masada, The Dreamers, a variety of film soundtracks and more, The Song Project is a retrospective of some of Zorn's most lyrical compositions from the past 30 years. This CD presents the all-star band performing live in New York after a dozen European concerts and at the peak of their powers. Electricity is in the air from first note to last! C’est a l’occasion de son 60e anniversaire que ZORN a demandé a quelques-uns de ses collegues chanteurs (MIKE PATTON, JESSE HARRIS et SOFIA REI) d'écrire les paroles d'une sélection des morceaux les plus lyriques qu'il composât au cours des trente dernieres années (pour MASADA, NAKED CITY, DREAMERS ou pour le cinéma). Douze instrumentaux passés chansons ont ainsi fondé le corpus d'un luxueux coffret de six 45 tours, comprenant en sus un livret de 32 pages avec les paroles, des photos, etc, édité fin 2014. En voici le complément live et au format CD : le groupe en concert a New York, suite a une tournée européenne, et les neuf membres des DREAMERS, version élargie, gonflés a bloc ! L'électricté était palpable de la premiere a la derniere note.
