Three of the four musicians who formed the Whitman band met a few years ago in the Gliwice-Zabrze project Rottweiler, which after recording two cassettes and a vinyl single well-received by the independent press, ended its existence at the turn of the century. However, the punk rock call of the blood made itself known and the former Rottweiler bassist – Mroziu – sent word among his old colleagues. Strzała and Szymon (vocalist and guitarist) were gradually sinking into musical idleness, so they eagerly accepted the proposal to create something new together. The vacancy on the drummer's position was filled by Michał, who had completed his hard core internship in the band Defence, and in this way the line-up became complete. Over the past year, the band has been trying to tour intensively, recording their debut material… The reactions of listeners and the audience prove that the punk-rock spirit is with us all the time…

ABOUT THE ALBUM:
Eleven songs – ten original + one cover of the old Gliwice band Atak. Fast and even faster songs, short and even shorter – from one and a half to two and a half minutes. Simple, aggressive and dynamic music, with roots reaching back to classic American hardcore/punk from the Freeze, Poison Idea, D.O.A. on the one hand, and to Polish traditions of playing punk – rock from the best times of this music in our country in the eighties. Lyrics that do not use slogans – newspaper rhetoric, but do not avoid important matters.

Trzech z czterech muzyków tworzących zespół Whitman spotkało się kilka lat temu w gliwicko-zabrzańskim projekcie Rottweiler który po nagraniu dwóch kaset i winylowego singla dobrze przyjętych przez niezależną prasę zakończył żywot na przełomie stuleci. Punk rockowy zew krwi dał jednak o sobie znać i niegdysiejszy basista Rottweilera – Mroziu – rozesłał wici wśród starych kolegów. Strzała i Szymon (wokalista i gitarzysta ) pogrążali się stopniowo w muzycznym nieróbstwie, więc ochoczo przystali na propozycję wspólnego stworzenia czegoś nowego. Wakat na stanowisku perkusisty objął Michał, który hard core’owy staż odbył w zespole Defence ,i w ten sposób skład stał się kompletny . W przeciągu ostatniego roku zespół stara się intensywnie koncertować, rejestruje debiutancki materiał…..Reakcje słuchaczy i publiczności świadczą iż punk-rockowy duch jest z nami cały czas…

Teksty nie operujące sloganowo – gazetową retoryką, ale nie unikające spraw ważnych.
