Kino Kimino (formerly JAN) is a post punk/grunge pop band that is based in Brooklyn, NY. With guitarist/singer Kim Talon at the helm, Kino Kimino is a changing cast of characters... a fluidity designed to fit the spontaneity of the collective. Kino Kimino just finished their second album that was produced by John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Kurt Vile, Dinosaur Jr.) and was recorded at Sonic Youth's studio in New Jersey.
In this latest incarnation, the band feature Kim Talon & Melinda Holm with the addition of Lee Ranaldo & Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth).
Paper Magazine describe the sound as "shoegaze-y, grunge - with a touch of riot grrrl".
