On October 6, Lunatic Soul's new album, titled "Fractured", is released. It will be the fifth release of the project, for which the leader of Riverside, multi-instrumentalist Mariusz Duda is responsible.

"Fractured" is 8 premiere compositions that deal with loss, change, struggle and the attempt to survive in a new reality. The music is inspired by the events that took place in the leader's life in 2016, and everything that has been happening around us recently and makes us start to turn away from each other and divide into one and the other, better and worse.

Mariusz Duda describes "Fractured" as follows:

"This is the longest recorded and most polished album in my career. The album has a bigger scope and is much more expressive than previous Lunatic Soul albums. The symphony orchestra appears in two compositions, the saxophone in several others. There are more melodies and much more experiments with electronics. There are also many more songs based on rhythm and groove, and although there is still not a gram of electric guitar here - this is the most rock production with the LS symbol on the cover.

I will risk saying that this is the most musically original album that I have ever made. I managed to combine many musical worlds into one coherent whole, and in the lyrics I mainly included what had and still has the greatest meaning for me, which is why "Fractured" is also the most personal album for me".

"Fractured" to 8 premierowych kompozycji, które traktują o stracie, zmianach, walce oraz próbie przetrwania w nowej rzeczywistości. Muzyka zainspirowana jest wydarzeniami, jakie miały miejsce w życiu lidera w 2016 roku, oraz wszystkim tym, co ostatnio dzieje się wokół nas i sprawia, że zaczynamy odwracać się od siebie i dzielić na jednych i drugich, lepszych i gorszych.

Mariusz Duda tak opisuje "Fractured":

"To najdłużej nagrywany i najbardziej dopieszczony album w mojej karierze. Płyta ma większy rozmach i jest dużo bardziej wyrazista niż poprzednie albumy Lunatic Soul. W dwóch kompozycjach pojawia się orkiestra symfoniczna, w kilku innych saksofon. Jest więcej melodii i dużo więcej eksperymentów z elektroniką. Jest też dużo więcej utworów opartych na rytmie i groovie, i mimo że wciąż nie ma tutaj ani grama gitary elektrycznej – jest to najbardziej rockowa produkcja z symbolem LS na okładce.

Zaryzykuję stwierdzenie, że to najbardziej oryginalny muzycznie album, jaki wyszedł spod mojej ręki. Udało mi się na nim w jedną spójną całość połączyć wiele muzycznych światów, a w tekstach zawrzeć głównie to, co miało i wciąż ma dla mnie największe znaczenie, przez co „Fractured” jest też albumem najbardziej dla mnie osobistym".
