“Spontaneous Music Tribune” publishing series invites you to take another musical journey to Barcelona! After Völga quartet and Memoria Uno orchestra, it is time for a modest trio called dynamically as Phicus.

Ferran Fages, an important figure in the European avant-guard, a guitarist and an proficient explorer of electronic and electro-acoustic sounds, plays the electric guitar. He is supported by an astonishing pair of instrumentalists that you have already metwith while listening to Völga quartet - Alex Reviriego on double bass and Vasco Trilla on drums and percussion instruments.

Seven improvised fragments carrying mysterious titles. A concise story built dramatically on the antonyms: noise - silence, emotion - serenity, chaos - focus. “Glassy” guitar in opposition to “vigorous” double bass which likes to tune and lively drums providing a nimble interpretation of the scenic situation. Perversely, despite the use of electric guitar, the album
is dominated by acoustic and electro-acoustic sounds.

If you ask about genre associations, a day is not enough to point them all. Thus, to mention only the least mistaken ones – meditations without compositional structure, Velvet Underground with aesthetic colloquialism at the back of the mind, the taste of the early Sonic Youth, and finally… what would happen if Keiji Haino met the noble man of AMM in the dark corner of Robadors square.
