The powerful trio Ibrahim Electric which consists of guitar player Niclas Knudsen, drummer Stefan Pasborg and the Hammond organ player Jeppe Tuxen, was in a generous mood when they played a 6 hour long concert at the venue Vega on the 6th of July 2016 with new versions of their music from their six studio releases. It is a selection from this marathon concert that is now available on a double album.

The leading crossover trio in the country, Ibrahim Electric, mixes imaginative and slightly irreverent music from all over the world, adds an enormous energy and then shows an utter joy of playing at every concert. The trios large audience freaks out over the outrageous merges played on busting drums, distorted acid guitar and with a cutting Hammond B3 spark. It is forceful it is entertaining it is insanely musical and it is highly original.

The trio, formed in 2002, have made venues all over the world uneasy with their anarchistic approach to genres such as Afro-beat, blues, funk, surf, jazz and rock. Genres of which, they effortlessly mix into an organic whole. The trio, which contains of three individuals, each of whom have made a name for himself with own projects and as sidemen, have played concerts at clubs and festivals in approximately 25 different countries on four different continents, from Shanghai to Vancouver, from Monte Carlo to Moscow and from Varanger to Casablanca. Ibrahim Electric masters the art of mesmerizing the audience in both short and concise 2-3 minutes sprints and in the great ecstatic long distance runs. Ibrahim Electric are spontaneous, tight, masterly, punk-like and not least tremendously happy just to be present….

... Wysokoenergetyczne trio Ibrahim Electric jest duńską formacją, której zapał do grania wydaje się być rekordowy. Na dwóch kompaktach zawarto bowiem wybrane fragmenty aż z sześciogodzinnego (!) koncertu w kopenhaskim klubie Vega w lipcu ubiegłego roku…Mimo że Ibrahim Electric nie jest jedyną formacją o takim składzie, to spontaniczny i silnie eklektyczny styl, w jakim się wypowiadają, jest na tyle osobliwy, że trudno zespół pomylić z inną grupą. Najwięcej mamy w ich muzykowaniu odniesień do amerykańskich formacji jazz-rockowych z lat 70... - Audio * * * *

... Ten album jest cudowną podróżą po wielu zakątkach świata. Mamy tu trochę południowego rocka, kalifornijskiego rocka, nowoorleańskiego jazzu, nowojorskiej awangardy, francuskiego jazzu i folku, klezmer jazzu, trochę europejskiego bluesa, brytyjskiego fusion i wielu innych pięknych brzmień, o których już wspominałem. A wszystko to podane jest w formie wyłącznie instrumentalnej. Ibrahim Electric znakomicie żongluje tymi stylami i dzięki temu każdy utwór potrafi zaskoczyć, nie tylko po pierwszym zapoznaniu się. Jestem już po kilku pełnych sesjach z tym wydawnictwem i za każdym razem trafiam na jakiś nowy smaczek, którego wcześniej nie słyszałem. Dla mnie, jako osoby, która muzykę przeżywa dość mocno, takie odkrycia są na wagę złota i sprawiają najwięcej radości. Każdy utwór przynosi coś nowego, niespodziewanego.
