Brak was a truly unique band on the Polish scene of the 1980s; it proved that simple words, raw musical framework and a relevant message are just enough. But keep in mind that law favors those who have a rifle.

In the 1980s the band led by Ziemowit Kosmowski did not record any single but still went down in the history of the Polish rock as one of the most interesting, uncompromising and fresh-sounding new wave projects. Forty years have passed since their first recordings, and now Kosmowski returns to his history with a selection of the most noteworthy concert records and complements them with a new version of “Prawo” (together with its remix) – a piece which marks the beginning of the whole story.

The album has been remastered under the watchful ear of Ziemowit Kosmowski and Peter Guellard. The booklet includes photos and a small excerpt from the short story “Wewnątrz i na zewnątrz” to be released separately as a book about band’s history.

Brak był zespołem wyjątkowym na polskiej scenie lat 80. Udowodnił, że czasami wystarczą proste słowa, wystarczy surowa oprawa muzyczna, wystarczy odpowiedni przekaz. Wystarczy wiedzieć, że prawo jest z tym, kto ma karabin.

Choć zespół prowadzony przez Ziemowita Kosmowskiego nie nagrał w latach 80. nawet pojedynczego singla, to zapisał się w historii polskiego rocka jako jeden z najciekawszych, bezkompromisowych i świeżo brzmiących nowofalowych projektów. Po czterdziestu latach jakie minęły od pierwszych nagrań Kosmowski sięga do swojej historii, wybierając najciekawsze nagrania koncertowe i uzupełniając je o nową wersję utworu „Prawo” (a także jej remix), od którego wszystko się zaczęło.

Album został zremasterowany pod czujnym uchem Ziemowita Kosmowskiego i Petera Guellarda. W książeczce wydania CD oprócz zdjęć znalazł się drobny wyjątek z opowiadania „Wewnątrz i na zewnątrz”, które ukazuje się osobno w formie książkowej, dokumentując losy zespołu.
