The band Klawo debuted in May 2021 with a single titled "Wdzięczność" (“Gratitude”) while also joining the roster of artists released by the independent Gdynia-based label Coastline Northern Cuts.
The origins of Klawo go back to the second half of 2019, when Konstanty Kostka was invited to arrange his EP "Flądra" for a concert organized by Coastline Northern Cuts - without the use of a sampler but with a whole "live band" instead. After four months of experiments and first rehearsals it turned out that new arrangements and energy of each of the members gave "Flądra" a completely new groove, and the spontaneity based on jazz improvisation made the band play more and more to finally compose original material together.

Z najwyższej półki zespołowi KLAWO dziadkują Herbie Hancock i Funk Factory. Klawo to album, który słyszał kwaskowaty homerecording spod znaku Maca DeMarco i skutych producentów lo-fi beat tape'ów. Mocny rdzeń z przyjacielskiej miłości i solidnej kompozytorsko-aranżacyjnej rozkminy.

Początki Klawo sięgają drugiej połowy roku 2019, kiedy to Konstanty Kostka został zaproszony do zaaranżowania swojej EP “Flądra” (Latarnia Rec.) na potrzeby koncertu organizowanego przez CNC – bez użycia samplera, ale za to z całym “live bandem”. Po czterech miesiącach poszukiwań i pierwszych wspólnych próbach okazało się, że nowe aranżacje i energia każdego z członków nadała “Flądrze” zupełnie nowego groove’u, a oparta na jazzowej improwizacji spontaniczność sprawiła, że zaczęli grać coraz więcej i wspólnie komponować autorski materiał.
