Krystyna Stańko's new album "Eurodyka" is the artist's personal tribute to Europe, its beauty and diversity. The singer is accompanied by a permanent line-up headed by Dominik Bukowski, Paul Rutschka, Mikołaj Stańko, and Michał Bąk. There will be great guests: the outstanding Norwegian trumpeter Arve Henriksen (recording for the prestigious ECM label), with whom the artist has dreamed of collaborating for years, the Portuguese vocalist with a wonderful voice and incredible sensitivity, Joao de Sousa, the Hungarian clarinetist and saxophonist Daniel Mester, and the charismatic Ukrainian vocalist Laura Marti.
Each of the invited artists from various parts of Europe brings their own characteristic touch, sensitivity and original tone to this music. There is no shortage of improvised parts on the album, the sound sparkles with a wealth of colors, and at the same time the texture is openwork, extremely subtle, in which Krystyna Stańko's voice tells the sometimes difficult stories she wrote. Among the compositions, noteworthy are also songs without lyrics, told with expressive vocalizations, often in unison with instruments.
"Eurodyka" is like separate musical images, combined into a whole, like a walk through an exhibition, a journey through European cities.
Each story has its own subtitle - the name of the city. However, words describe neither places nor their history. The title is determined by the mood of the song, which a given city gave Krystyna Stańko and Dominik Bukowski the inspiration to create the specific atmosphere of the composition.
The author of the unique graphic design of the album cover is an artist and painter - Ewa Sycha.
The recordings in Studio Custom 34 were recorded by Krzysztof Szabowski. Paul Rutschka, producer of most of the singer's albums, supervises the recording, mixing and production.

Nowy album Krystyny Stańko „Eurodyka” jest osobistym hołdem artystki dla Europy, jej piękna i różnorodności. Wokalistce towarzyszy stały skład z Dominikiem Bukowskim na czele, Paulem Rutschka, Mikołajem Stańko, a także Michałem Bąkiem. Pojawiąją się wspaniali goście: wybitny norweski trębacz Arve Henriksen (nagrywający dla prestiżowej wytwórni ECM), o współpracy z którym artystka marzyła od lat, portugalski wokalista obdarzony wspaniałym głosem i niebywałą wrażliwością Joao de Sousa, węgierski klarnecista i saksofonista Daniel Mester a także charyzmatyczna ukraińska wokalistka Laura Marti.
Każdy z zaproszonych artystów pochodzących z rozmaitych zakątków Europy wnosi do tej muzyki swój charakterystyczny rys, wrażliwość i oryginalny ton. Na płycie nie brakuje partii improwizowanych, brzmienie mieni się bogactwem barw, a zarazem faktura jest ażurowa, niezwykle subtelna, w której głos Krystyny Stańko opowiada napisane przez nią, czasem niełatwe historie. Wśród kompozycji na uwagę zasługują także utwory bez tekstu, opowiadane ekspresyjnymi wokalizami, często w unisono z instrumentami.
„Eurodyka”, to jakby osobne muzyczne obrazy, połączone w całość, niczym spacer po wystawie, podróż po europejskich miastach.
Każda opowieść ma swój podtytuł- nazwę miasta. Jednak słowa nie opisują ani miejsc, ani ich historii. O tytule decyduje nastrój utworu, który dane miasto dało Krystynie Stańko i Dominikowi Bukowskiemu inspirację do stworzenia specyficznego klimatu kompozycji.
