Filip Żółtowski Quartet combines the traditions of jazz playing with modern sounds and melodious themes in its concept, also drawing from Polish folklore. It is a fusion of jazz music, often improvised, with electronic sounds inspired by producers of the pop or EDM music scene (e.g. Flume, Medasin), as well as hip-hop beats in the style of James Yancey (J.Dilla). It is jazz inspired by the style of Steve Coleman, Theo Crocker and Brad Mehldau.

“Our second album entitled “Bibi” is a stronger turn towards electronic sounds. Richer use of the possibilities of synthesizers combined with interesting instrumentation of the trumpet and saxophone gives a rare effect of interpenetrating acoustic-electronic synthesis. The concept of the album is to focus on the individual, on individuality and what makes us individual. The songs are a reflection of my feelings, which are also a reflection of other people's emotions - each of us experiences our own delights and dramas, but the emotions that accompany them are not that different. The music and the reflections associated with it come to the listener with a desire to seek the truth about themselves, to answer the questions of where they are going and to accept who they are.

Filip Żółtowski Quartet łączy w swojej koncepcji tradycje jazzowego grania z nowoczesnymi brzmieniami i śpiewnymi tematami, czerpiąc także z polskiego folkloru. Jest to fuzja muzyki jazzowej, często improwizowanej, z elektronicznymi brzmieniami inspirowanymi producentami sceny muzyki pop czy EDM (np. Flume, Medasin), a także hip-hopowymi beatami w stylu produkcji Jamesa Yancey (J.Dilla). To jazz inspirowany stylem Steve'a Colemana, Theo Crockera czy Brada Mehldau.

“Nasza druga płyta pt. “Bibi”, jest mocniejszym zwróceniem się w stronę elektronicznych brzmień. Bogatsze wykorzystanie możliwości syntezatorów w połączeniu z ciekawą instrumentacją trąbki, saksofonu daje rzadki efekt przenikającej się syntezy akustyczno-elektronicznej. Koncepcja płyty to skupienie się na jednostce, na indywidualności i tym co sprawia, że jesteśmy indywidualni. Utwory to odzwierciedlenie moich uczuć, które są również odbiciem emocji innych ludzi - każdy z nas przeżywa własne zachwyty i dramaty, ale emocje im towarzyszące wcale tak bardzo się nie różnią. Muzyka i rozważania z nią związane wychodzą do słuchacza z chęcią poszukiwania prawdy o sobie, odpowiedzi na pytania dokąd się zmierza i zaakceptowaniu tego kim się jest.”
