The album, originally planned as the next SBB release, became an incredibly warm and cordial meeting of musical friends. The songs inspired by the classic rock of the 60s and 70s constitute the most melodic, noble-sounding release in Józef Skrzek's career.

In the summer of 1980, Józef Skrzek began recordings for a new, double album of the SBB band in the Radio Opole studio. When he finished the sessions a few weeks before Christmas, the band had already become history, and two separate releases were born from the double album. "Józefina", the first of them, is a triumph of melody. The most beautiful, song forms in Józef Skrzek's output gain new colors thanks to tasteful arrangements (exceptionally modest for the artist's standards at the time). In addition to the entire SBB, the recordings were attended by, among others, Halina Frąckowiak, Tomasz Szukalski and Andrzej Olejniczak.

Prepared together with Radio Opole, the new edition of "Józefina" apart from the remastered material from the original LP brings six additional recordings - early sketches and working mixes of songs, often differing in sound from the final result. The booklet contains the full history of the Opole sessions for "Józefina", lyrics and photos.

Album oryginalnie planowany jako kolejne wydawnictwo SBB stał się niezwykle ciepłym i serdecznym spotkaniem muzycznych przyjaciół. Utwory inspirowane klasyką rocka z lat 60. 70. stanowią najbardziej piosenkowe, szlachetnie brzmiące wydawnictwo w karierze Józefa Skrzeka.

Latem 1980 roku Józef Skrzek rozpoczął w studiu Radia Opole nagrania na nowy, podwójny album zespołu SBB. Gdy kończył sesje kilka tygodni przed Bożym Narodzeniem, zespół zdążył przejść do historii, a z podwójnego albumu narodziły się dwa osobne wydawnictwa. „Józefina”, pierwsze z nich, to triumf melodii. Najpiękniejsze, piosenkowe formy w dorobku Józefa Skrzeka zyskują nowe kolory dzięki wysmakowanym aranżacjom (wyjątkowo skromnym jak na ówczesne normy artysty). W nagraniach obok całego SBB wzięli udział m.in. Halina Frąckowiak, Tomasz Szukalski i Andrzej Olejniczak.

Przygotowana wspólnie z Radiem Opole nowa edycja „Józefiny” poza zremasterowanym materiałem z oryginalnego LP przynosi sześć nagrań dodatkowych – wczesne szkice i robocze miksy utworów, często odbiegające brzmieniem od finalnego rezultatu. W książeczce pełna historia opolskich sesji do „Józefiny”, teksty utworów oraz zdjęcia.
