"Respublika" is the first album with completely new material since the 1994 album "Kultura." It contains 11 songs drawn from traditional Ukrainian songs and two from the Sex Pistols repertoire: "Anarchy In the UK" and "Pretty Vacant" – sung in Ukrainian, of course. The Ukrainians, also known as the "Ukrainian Sex Pistols," are extremely popular in Poland due to their numerous concerts here. The Ukrainians are 100% English, born in Great Britain (formerly forming the band Wedding Present), but, either because of their ancestral origins or due to their Slavic studies, they are fascinated by Ukrainian folklore and music. The "Respublika" CD is an enhanced CD – when played on a computer, it features four additional live tracks in MP3 format, as well as photos, the band's history, and a discography.
