New album by De Press! Andrzej Dziubek, who celebrated his 70th birthday last year with a spectacular concert at the Rockefeller Music Hall in Oslo, is still as active and creative as ever. "On this album I draw inspiration from our history in the 20th century in the Tatras. The Tatras are located on the territory of Poland and Slovakia. In these mountains, rebels fought, led by Janosik, who took from the rich and gave to the poor. He was eventually caught and executed. The execution was very painful, and the hook was driven under the rib and hung on a wooden log. Poland as a country had a tragic fate - conquered from the west and east, sometimes not existing on any map. During World War II, the Germans occupied, burned and destroyed all of Poland, and also stole many Polish works of art and other valuables, which have not been returned yet... I write about this in the song "Reperacje". In another song, "Narvik", I write about the Allies who fought against Nazi Germany in Norway. I also like to refer to contemporary social issues, the songs "Lover lover" and "Det blir lov" contain content on this topic. A person as an individual has difficulty adapting to systems that authoritarian authorities apply in various forms. But there are also funny songs on the album, such as "Bede Cie albo Nie" or "Nie pude nie bedym", which describe male-female relationships. This time I am motivated by heavier music. Maybe I am inspired by my musical youth, when I escaped from Poland to the West. I still had five fingers in both hands, and my dream at that time was to buy Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath records."

„Na tym albumie czerpię inspirację z naszej historii w XX wieku w Tatrach. Tatry znajdują się na terytorium Polski i Słowacji. W tych górach walczyli buntownicy, prowadzeni przez Janosika, który zabierał bogatym i dawał biednym. W końcu został złapany i stracony. Egzekucja była bardzo bolesna, a hak wbito pod żebro i zawieszono na drewnianej kłodzie.
Polska jako kraj miała tragiczny los - podbijana z zachodu i wschodu, czasami nie istniejąc na żadnej mapie. Podczas II wojny światowej Niemcy zajęli, spalili i zniszczyli całą Polskę, a także ukradli wiele polskich dzieł sztuki i innych kosztowności, które wciąż nie wróciły.... Piszę o tym w piosence "Reperacje". W innej piosence, "Narvik", piszę o aliantach, którzy walczyli przeciwko nazistowskim Niemcom w Norwegii. Lubię też odnosić się do współczesnych problemów społecznych, piosenki "Lover lover" i "Det blir lov" zawierają treści na ten temat. Człowiek jako jednostka ma trudności z przystosowaniem się do systemów, które autorytarne władze stosują w różnych formach. Ale na płycie są też zabawne piosenki, takie jak "Bede Cie albo Nie" czy "Nie pude nie bedym", które opisują relacje damsko-męskie.
Tym razem motywuje mnie cięższa muzyka. Być może inspiruje mnie moja muzyczna młodość, kiedy uciekłem z Polski na Zachód. Wciąż miałem po pięć palców w obu dłoniach, a moim marzeniem było wtedy kupowanie płyt Led Zeppelin czy Black Sabbath”.
