ZIMA – We don't use bad words... except for one: "milicja" (militia).

The end of the 1980s saw the last tremors of communism, and the next moment, a headlong leap into the new system. And in Polish punk rock, the beginnings of the independent scene. A flood of fanzines, concerts organized by members of the crew, and above all, new bands singing about issues slightly different from the "Jarocin" bands. ZIMA was formed in distant Nowy Sącz, and although they played rather calm punk rock, they definitely belonged to this new world and had rather "intelligentsia" lyrics, free of any swearing or bad words, except for one: "milicja" (militia). Most of them were written by Janusz Reichel. Before becoming a bard, he was Zima's guitarist. The band existed from 1986 to 1990 and briefly in 1991, and of course, they didn't make any studio recordings. After approximately 35 years, we revisit excerpts from concerts from 1988 and 1991 on vinyl. The album comes with a booklet featuring the band's history and photos from the era.

Końcówka lat 80-tych to ostatnie podrygi komuny, a za moment skok na główkę do nowego systemu. Zaś w polskim punk rocku – początki sceny niezależnej. Wysyp fanzinów, koncerty robione przez ludzi z załogi, oraz przede wszystkim nowe zespoły, które śpiewały o ciut innych sprawach niż kapele „jarocińskie”. Zespół ZIMA powstał w dalekim Nowym Sączu i choć grał raczej spokojnego punk rocka, zdecydowanie należał do tego nowego świata i miał raczej „inteligenckie” teksty w których nie było żadnego przeklinania i nie pojawiały się brzydkie słowa, oprócz jednego które brzmiało: milicja . Autorem większości z nich był Janusz Reichel. Zanim został bardem był gitarzysta Zimy. Zespół istniał w latach 1986-90 oraz przez moment w 91 i oczywiście nie zrobił żadnych nagrań studyjnych. Po circa 35 latach przypominamy na winylu fragmenty koncertów z 1988 i 1991 roku. Do płyty dołączony jest booklet z historią zespołu i zdjęciami z epoki.
