In the early 1990s, the Polish music scene, as fledgling as the capitalism of the time, was still trying to reinvent itself and find its own formula. Many artists offering a diverse range of music appeared on club stages, cassettes, and albums. Led by Wojtek Kubiak, Chocolate Spoon was a haven of naturalness and respect for tradition in this landscape. "Macho" is, above all, a collection of beautiful songs, bowing low to the best models of the 1960s and 1970s, yet created in the here and now. The entire album—from the band's first hit, "Hey Ho Rock'n'Roll," to the slightly nostalgic "I'm Walking"—is a veritable treasure trove of exquisite melodies and guitar craftsmanship. One of the most organic-sounding albums of the 1990s.

"Macho" returns to CD in a remastered version, enriched with two early recordings from the band. The booklet includes the band's reminiscences about the creation of the material.
