Balkon is a power trio that combines jazz harmonies with a punk edge and the emotionality of old-school alternative. They unabashedly embrace the Republika aesthetic, with a Sonic Youth-style expressiveness, and a vocalist who sometimes sounds like he's in touch with Marcin Świetlicki. Loud, dense, and in Polish.

In 2025, the band performed at the Off Festival and Great September. They also won the Andrzej Jakóbiec Award and special awards from Radio 357 and Music Week Poland at the Fama festival.
