Three musicians, three instruments, and an infinity of sounds. A guitar power trio, but with a difference.

Bad Trip Noise emerges on the Polish music scene to effectively break the rigid formula of the guitar power trio. They combine the elegance of Jeff Beck and Hank Marvin, a progressive openness, and the freedom of jazz. The musicians, with years of experience (including in the bands Osada Vida and Hasiok), focus on songs that blossom with melodies, in which a perfectly coordinated rhythm section serves as a vehicle for memorable guitar motifs. The material was recorded during a short, spontaneous session at Błażej Domański's "Studio 7," live (for a so-called "setka") – showcasing the trio's potential in precisely the format in which it will be explored during the group's planned performances this year. The release is complemented by artwork by Natalia Śmiechowicz, presented in the accompanying booklet, thematically corresponding to the individual tracks.

Bad Trip Noise's debut album is available on CD, with a vinyl version also in the works. The thirteenth release in the New Sun catalog, a GAD Records label focused on new releases, will be released on Friday, February 13th.

Bad Trip Noise pojawia się na polskiej scenie muzycznej, by skutecznie przełamać skostniałą formułę gitarowego power-tria. Łączą elegancję spod znaku Jeffa Becka i Hanka Marvina, progresywną otwartość i jazzową swobodę. Muzycy z wieloletnim doświadczeniem (m.in. w zespołach Osada Vida i Hasiok) postawili na rozkwitające melodiami utwory, w których doskonale zgrana sekcja rytmiczna jest wehikułem dla zapadających w pamięć motywów gitary. Materiał nagrano podczas krótkiej, spontanicznej sesji w „Studio 7” Błażeja Domańskiego, na żywo (na tzw. „setkę”) – prezentując możliwości tria dokładnie w takiej formule, w jakiej będzie można je odkryć podczas planowanych na ten rok występów grupy. Wydawnictwo uzupełniają zaprezentowane w dołączonej do płyty książeczce grafiki autorstwa Natalii Śmiechowicz, korespondujące swoją tematyką z poszczególnymi utworami.

Debiutancki album Bad Trip Noise ukazuje się na płycie CD, w przygotowaniu także wersja winylowa. Trzynaste wydawnictwo w katalogu New Sun, labelu GAD Records skupiającym się na premierowych projektach, ukaże się trzynastego lutego. W piątek.
