Attrition, thanks to their blend of classical and modern, has become the musical equivalent of Surrealist painting. From their early, powerful and sparse recordings to the more diverse sonic palette and orchestration of their latest works, Attrition have successfully blended several musical genres. Their music oscillates between gothic and industrial, between experimental and classical, so seamlessly that it's now possible to speak of a distinct genre called Attrition.

Attrition dzięki połączeniu klasyki z nowoczesnością stała się w muzyce odpowiednikiem malarstwa surrealistów. Od swoich wczesnych, mocnych i oszczędnych w wyrazie nagrań, do bardziej zróżnicowanej palety dźwięków i orkiestracji w ostatnich utworach, Attrition z sukcesem połączyli kilka gatunków muzycznych. Muzyka oscyluje pomiędzy gotykiem i industrialem, pomiędzy eksperymentem i klasyką tak gładko, że można już mówić o osobnym gatunku zwanym Attrition.
