LARS was formed in early 2005 in Gdynia as an ephemeral conglomeration of Tri-City musicians with the aim of revealing themselves during Rootstock Fest Gdynia. After a few months' break, with a slightly changed line-up, LARS returned to creating and performing as a permanent, regular project. Among LARS' concerts, it is worth mentioning, first of all, participation in the Heineken Open'er Festival in Gdynia, taking second place in the competition during the Ostróda Reggae Festival 2007, a concert broadcast on Radio Gdańsk, victory in the national competition of local radio stations "Przebojem na antenę" in 2007 and the Afryka Reggae Festival 2008 in Toruń, as well as participation in the main concert of this year's 16th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity at Długi Targ in Gdańsk. Listeners of Radio Trójka, Radio Bis and many local radio stations throughout Poland have come to know LARS mainly thanks to the songs "Depresja rastamana" and "Szczury" (aka "Szczurów rzesza").
LARS's music is an explosive mixture of genres supported by a reggae foundation, which explodes with the greatest force during concerts. The band observes the absurdities of social reality with a watchful eye, commenting on it in a way that is not devoid of humor, irony and distance.
Currently enjoying unquestionable support from the audience of their native Tricity and gradually growing popularity in the interior of the country, LARS plans to crown their previous activities with a debut album recorded at their own expense and released by the legendary Tricity independent label Biodro Records, entitled "Live Act Reggae Squad", which will see the light of day on October 10.

LARS powstał na początku 2005 r. w Gdyni jako efemeryczny konglomerat trójmiejskich muzyków celem ujawnienia się podczas Rootstock Fest Gdynia. Po kilku miesiącach przerwy, w lekko odmienionym składzie, LARS powrócił do tworzenia i koncertowania już jako stały, regularny projekt.
Spośród koncertów LARS'a wymienić należy przede wszystkim udział na Heineken Open'er Festival w Gdyni, zajęcie drugiego miejsca w konkursie podczas Ostróda Reggae Festiwal 2007, transmitowany na antenie koncert w Radiu Gdańsk, zwycięstwo w ogólnopolskim konkursie lokalnych rozgłośni radiowych "Przebojem na antenę" w 2007 roku oraz Afryka Reggae Festival 2008 w Toruniu, a także udział w głównym koncercie tegorocznego, XVI Finału WOŚP na Długim Targu w Gdańsku. Słuchaczom radiowej Trójki, Radia Bis oraz wielu lokalnych rozgłośni w całej Polsce LARS dał się poznać głównie za sprawą utworów "Depresja rastamana" oraz "Szczury" (aka „Szczurów rzesza”).
Muzyka LARS'a to wsparta na reggae'owym fundamencie wybuchowa mieszanka gatunków, która z największą siłą eksploduje podczas koncertów. Zespół czujnym okiem przygląda się absurdom rzeczywistości społecznej, komentując ją w sposób nie pozbawiony humoru, ironii i dystansu.
Cieszący się obecnie niekwestionowanym wsparciem ze strony publiki rodzimego Trójmiasta oraz sukcesywnie rosnącą popularnością w głębi kraju LARS planuje zwieńczyć dotychczasowe działania nagraną własnym sumptem i wydaną przez legendarną już trójmiejską wytwórnię niezależną Biodro Records debiutancką płytą pt. "Live Act Reggae Squad", która ujrzy światło dzienne już 10 października.
