Second album from epic four-disc Anthology of Moravian folk music of the early 21st century

The four-album representative selection of bands and singers who have significantly contributed to maintain an authentic form of musical traditions of their region is an attempt to reflect the current form of popular music-making in large and small Moravian folklore regions.

Each part of the four-album compilation is completed with explanatory notes and a booklet outlining the music history of a particular region, its most important ensembles, musicians and singers. Each album is packaged in a separate paper digipack with at least 28 page booklets and it is also possible to purchase each of the albums separately. A special package will include all 4 digipacks in a cardboard box.
CD2 - DOLŇÁCKO: Music which is walks on ancient trade routes

Until recently, this region (together with Horňácko region, Podluží and Hanácké Slovácko regions) has been called Moravské Slovensko (Moravian Slovakia). In the last century the name Moravské Slovácko became usual; Dolňácko region is a part of it: it’s a territory along the lower reaches of the river Moravia from Napajedla towards the south of Hodonín, Lanžhot and the confluence of Dyje and Moravia rivers (so-called Dyje Triangle) and djacent foothills of Chřiby Mountains (via Kyjov all the way to Hustopeče). The Chřiby Mountains separate the area from the north; the eastern boundary is defined by an arc of White Carpathian Mountains with the peaks Javořina and Lopeník. They are the longest populated areas of Czech state – there lay the Great Moravian Empire, the Cyril and Methodius Mission was led in this area, Amber route passed through here.
Today, the customary name Dolňácko was created in the first quarter of the 20th century, probably as a counterpart to Bartoš’s definition of Horňácko (in the song collection Národní písně moravské v nově nasbírané, 1889 &#.......
