kIRk is a band looking for new forms of expression at the crossings of electronic and acoustic music. The group consists of three musicians: Paweł Bartnik (electronic instruments), Olgierd Dokalski (trumpet) and Filip Kalinowski (turntables). Each of them comes from a different musical background, therefore they approach composition in various ways. Nevertheless, their common ground is improvisation, which allows the sound to travel far beyond the limitations of a genre. Intuition and the will to communicate lead the team to their goals. The outcome is a sound filled with organic drama, while avoiding the obvious.
The progressive thinking and revolutionary attitude of the - over ten years old - band has been recognized and appreciated by the godmother of futuristic music Mary Anne Hobbs, the British “techno” giant Si Begg, owner of the legendary Tresor club and the organizers of such festivals as OFF, Open'er and Satta Outside.

kIRk to zespół poszukujący nowych form wyrazu na styku muzyki elektronicznej oraz akustycznej. Grupę tworzy trzech muzyków:
Paweł Bartnik (instrumenty elektroniczne), Olgierd Dokalski (trąbka) i Filip Kalinowski (gramofony). Każdy z nich wyrastał na innych brzmieniach, zatem każdy podchodzi do dźwięku nieco inaczej. Płaszczyzną porozumienia jest dla nich improwizacja, która pozwala wyjść daleko poza ograniczenia gatunkowe. Tu prym wiedzie intuicja i umiejętność prowadzenia dialogu. Owocem jest muzyka pełna organicznej dramaturgii, nieskażona oczywistością.
