vinyl: 2024 remaster, 180g yellow LP + bonus tracks

Komety, one of the most important Polish alternative bands of the 21st century, are back with a new album. "Paso Fino" seems to be the most mature, well-thought-out and at the same time melodic (not to say catchy) album in the band's history. The Warsaw trio is supported by many session musicians invited to the recordings. On the album we can hear, among others, a brass section and a string quartet.

"Paso Fino" will be released on compact disc, green and black vinyl, cassette and in files.

Lesław, both in the Party and in Komety, has always consistently followed his own path, never made any concessions, he is an artist incredibly aware of what he wants to do and faithful to his choices, in short: someone who never betrays himself. "Paso Fino" dazzles in terms of sound, I myself - although I thought I knew this band inside out and that nothing would surprise me - am surprised and delighted by a real treasure trove of sounds that I didn't even expect to find here. And the lyrics, well, it's probably no surprise that they are still at the highest level, few people can talk like that about loneliness, relationships, meetings and breakups, which are universal topics, except that Lesław never even bordered on banality, each lyric is a separate original story. I even have my own private fun connected with Komety: listening to their songs I imagine their heroines, their hair, face, figure and add their biographies to it.

Komety are a phenomenon in Polish music, as long as Komety exist there is still hope that someone will tell us about our lives better than we ourselves would be able to do it.

Komety, jeden z najważniejszych polskich zespołów alternatywnych XXI wieku, wracają z nową płytą. "Paso Fino" wydaje się być najbardziej dojrzałym, przemyślanym a jednocześnie melodyjnym (żeby nie powiedzieć przebojowym) albumem w historii zespołu. Warszawskie trio wspomaga wielu zaproszonych do nagrań muzyków sesyjnych. Na płycie słyszymy więc między innymi i sekcję dętą i kwartet smyczkowy.
"Paso Fino" ukaże się na płycie kompaktowej, zielonym i czarnym winylu, kasecie oraz w plikach.

Lesław zawsze, zarówno w Partii, jak i w Kometach, konsekwentnie podążał własną drogą, nigdy nie szedł na żadne ustępstwa, to artysta niebywale świadomy tego, co chce robić i wierny swoim wyborom, mówiąc krótko: ktoś kto nigdy nie zdradza sam siebie. "Paso Fino" olśniewa jeśli chodzi o brzmienie, ja sam - mimo iż wydawało mi się że ten zespół znam na wylot i niczym mnie nie zaskoczy - jestem zaskoczony i zachwycony prawdziwym skarbcem dźwięków, których się nawet tu nie spodziewałem znaleźć. A teksty, cóż, chyba nie jest żadnym zaskoczeniem, że wciąż są na najwyższym poziomie, mało kto umie tak opowiadać o samotności, związkach, spotkaniach i rozstaniach, a więc tematach uniwersalnych, z tym, że Lesław nigdy nie otarł się nawet o banał, każdy tekst jest osobną oryginalną opowieścią. Mam nawet swoją prywatną zabawę związaną z Kometami: słuchając ich piosenek wyobrażam sobie ich bohaterki, ich włosy, twarz, figurę i dopisuję do tego ich życiorysy.

Komety to ewenement w polskiej muzyce, dopóki istnieją Komety ciągle jest nadzieja, że ktoś opowie nam o naszym życiu lepiej niż sami byśmy potrafili to zrobić.
