The project called HOLY TOY started in 1982. Founded by Andrzej Dziubek, it was his escape. After almost two years of the enormous popularity of DE PRESS, all the media noise, constant promotion, concerts and huge expectations of fans - Andrzej felt tired (especially since he is not the type of celebrity) and decided to take a break from rock. Additionally, our hero decided that rock music limited him, that it was, as he put it, "square" and he went where he felt free. Industrial, electronic, full of experiments sound was what was in Dziubek's soul. This love lasted until the end of the 1980s.

The album "Dokument" is the first and only cross-sectional presentation of HOLY TOY's achievements.

The songs come from the albums "Warszawa", "Panzer And Rabbits", Pact Of Fact", "Why not in the choir?" and from a previously unpublished recording session in Warsaw in the "CCS" studio with the participation of Polish musicians, including: Tomasz Stańko and Andrzej Nowicki. Additionally, the set of songs includes several compositions that have not been published anywhere else.

It is worth remembering that HOLY TOY was hailed as pioneers of a new sound. The band performed at many significant festivals throughout Europe and went on tour together, e.g. with SWANS or Nick Cave, and just like De Press and Holy Toy, they are still the greatest underrated groups in the history of our Polish rock music.

Projekt o nazwie HOLY TOY wystartował 1982 roku. Założony przez Andrzeja Dziubka był jego swoista ucieczką. Po blisko dwóch latach olbrzymiej popularności DE PRESS, całego tego zgiełku medialnego, nieustannej promocji, koncertów i olbrzymich oczekiwań fanów – Andrzej czuł się zmęczony (zwłaszcza, że nie jest typem celebryty) i postanowił odpocząć od rocka. Dodatkowo nasz bohater uznał, że muzyka rockowa go ogranicza, że jest jak się wyraził „kwadratowa” i poszedł tam gdzie poczuł się wolny. Industrialne , elektroniczne, pełne eksperymentów brzmienie to było to co grało w duszy Dziubkowi. Ta miłość trwała do końca lat 80-tych.
Płyta „Dokument” to pierwsza i jedyna przekrojowa prezentacja dorobku HOLY TOY.
Utwory pochodzą z płyt „Warszawa”, „Panzer And Rabbits”, Pact Of Fact”, „Czemu nie w chórze?” oraz z niepublikowanej wcześniej sesji nagraniowej w Warszawie w studio "CCS" z udziałem polskich muzyków m.in. Tomasza Stańki i Andrzeja Nowickiego. Dodatkowo zestaw utworów zawiera kilka niepublikowanych nigdzie indziej kompozycji.
Warto pamiętać, że HOLY TOY okrzyknięto pionierami nowego brzmienia. Zespół koncertował na wielu znaczących festiwalach w całej Europie i zagrał wspólne trasy koncertowe np. ze SWANS czy Nickiem Cave’m i tak jak De Press tak i Holy Toy ciągle stanowią największe niedocenione grupy w historii naszej , polskiej muzyki rockowej.
