Kinsky is one of the most significant phenomenon on alternative stage. Urban legend says that the band was born at the turn of the 1991 as an idea of philosophy students of the Warsaw University. The band was able to publish just one record: Copula Mundi, before it stopped it’s activity in 1996. Nonetheless band deserved to declare it “most progressive band of the 90’s in Poland” (Gazeta Wyborcza). Kinsky appeared in over 100 places across the Europe. It’s performances were conecting many disciplines.

Members of the band were avoiding normal interviews, creating ideological manifests instead of that. This is the fragment one of theese: Kinsky presents itself leaving freedom in interpretation and making it validate. Every receiver is the sender too, because the receiver fills the form given by the band. This form is not limited, by any structural obligation. So it seems, that the number of interpretations is huge.

2015 is the new chapter in Kinsky’s history: after almost 20 years of absence and months of preparations the band is coming back on stage and composes new music. First live performances are expected in the spring. In August Kinsky will appear on jubilee edition of the most important alternative music festival Off Festival in Katowice (Poland), consisting original members of the band with new bass player:

In spite of stopping stage activity, Kinsky recorded music for the second album in 1997. In 2013 one of the tracks appeared on promo compilation released by Requiem Records. The rest of the music still awaits for publishing. In the spring Kinsky will release promo single CD annoucing publishing plans containing reedition of Copula Mundi and, after long expectation the second recorded stuff.

Kinsky powraca po 19 latach milczenia! Singiel „92-96-15” wydany wspólnie przez zespół oraz wydawnictwo Requiem.
Jest to także pierwsze od 22 lat wydawnictwo a jedyna wydana dotąd płyta zespołu Kinsky to „Copula Mundi”, którą uważa się za jedną z najciekawszych polskich płyt końca XX wieku.

Tytuł singla nawiązuje do działalności zespołu, która rozpoczęła się w 1992 roku. Chociaż Kinsky zawiesił działalność koncertową w 1996 roku, rok później zarejestrował drugą i do tej pory nie wydaną płytę „Praeterito Futurum”. Liczba „15” w tytule singla to odwołanie do 2015 roku, kiedy to zespół po 19 latach reaktywuje się.

Na singlu znajdują się trzy utwory: „Rectangular Seal” ze wspomnianej płyty „Copula Mundi”, „Frihetens Oyeblikk” z jeszcze nie wydanej drugiej płyty „Praeterito Futurum” oraz nagranie koncertowe „Der Mensch ist, was er iBt” z KinoTeatru „Tęcza” z 1996 roku.

Kinsky rozwijając figury postrockowego modelu wykorzystuje nadal stylistykę gatunków ekstremalnych takich jak HC czy death metal. Jednocześnie nasyca kompozycje atmosferą przypominającą raczej muzykę współczesną niż rockową. Odważne sięganie po rozwiązania strukturalne i z drugiej strony free jazzowe rysuje bardzo szerokie spektrum form i rozwiązań. Energia i subtelność przenikają się w unikatowy sposób tworząc niepowtarzalny konglomerat muzycznych emocji – od monumentalnych rozwiązań sonorycznych po subtelne gry ciszą i szmerami. Twórczość kwartetu jest trudna do jednoznacznego zdefiniowania, sam zespół stosuje określenie "muzyka spekulatywna".
