Holding together these three wildly different voices is the Sadawi band, with its wide musical vocabulary. Drawing from the sonic storytelling of Charles Ive’s Unanswered Question, the tradic-comedy of Duke Ellington’s wah wah brass and the new demands of indie band sounds. Paul Brody’s Sadawi has three releases on John Zorn’s Tzadik label and has toured around the work.
