"This is the first year when loneliness has tired me out / This is the first year when I've thrown a bridge across the moat" - sings Katarzyna Nosowska in the song entitled "2015". And I think there really is something to it, because the album HEY, which was created largely in 2015, is clearly different from everything the group has offered us in the last decade.

On "Miłość! Uwaga! Ratunku! Help!" and especially "Do rycczycy, do szlachty, doo mieszczan" consisted mainly of calm, contemplative songs with an intricately constructed form. It was a time of meditation, and now it's time for action - the heart of the section beats stronger, the guitar bites sharper, strong, catchy choruses have returned, which it is impossible not to sing with Katarzyna... Where do such changes come from? Perhaps they are an element of a well-thought-out and consistently implemented plan. But they can simply come from the need of the moment. A spark jumps and everything changes. A flash - and you follow it. "Next". "Quickly, sooner". "Towards the sun". The above sentence consists of, among others, the titles of the songs that you will find on the new album of the band HEY, entitled "Błysk".

The impression of change, movement, and buzzing energy that appeals to the senses emanates from this music and returns in the lyrics. Not necessarily cheerful and optimistic - hey, it's HEY! – but in their own way life-affirming. When we are blinded by too bright a light, the eye repeats the echo of that flash for a long time, transferring it to everything it looks at. It's similar with "Błysk" – you will listen to this album and you will not be able to free yourself from it. From the melodies enchanted in trance arrangements and from the words that on the one hand are so very Nosowska, and on the other – how does she do it? – again so much about us.

„To pierwszy taki rok, gdy samotność znużyła mnie / To pierwszy taki rok, gdy przez fosę rzuciłam most" – śpiewa Katarzyna Nosowska w utworze zatytułowanym „2015". I chyba rzeczywiście coś jest na rzeczy, bo płyta HEY, która powstawała w dużej mierze w 2015 roku, wyraźnie różni się od tego wszystkiego, co grupa proponowała nam w ciągu ostatniej dekady.

Na „Miłość! Uwaga! Ratunku! Pomocy!" i szczególnie „Do rycerzy, do szlachty, doo mieszczan” składały się głównie spokojne, kontemplacyjne piosenki o misternie skonstruowanej formie. To był czas medytacji, a teraz nastąpił czas działania – mocniej bije serce sekcji, ostrzej kąsa gitara, powróciły mocne, chwytliwe refreny, których nie sposób z Katarzyną nie śpiewać... Z czego biorą się takie zmiany? Być może są elementem dobrze przemyślanego i konsekwentnie wcielanego w życie planu. Ale mogą brać się po prostu z potrzeby chwili. Przeskakuje iskra i wszystko się zmienia. Błysk – i idziesz za tym. „Dalej”. „Prędko, prędzej”. „Ku słońcu”. Na powyższą sentencję składają się między innymi tytuły utworów, które znajdziecie na nowej płycie zespołu HEY, zatytułowanej „Błysk".

Odwołujące się do zmysłów wrażenie zmiany, ruchu, buzującej energii bije od tej muzyki i powraca w tekstach. Niekoniecznie wesołych i optymistycznych – hej, to przecież HEY! – ale na swój sposób afirmujących życie. Kiedy oślepia nas zbyt jasne światło, oko przez dłuższą chwilę powtarza echo tego błysku, przenosząc je na wszystko, na co patrzy. Z „Błyskiem" jest podobnie – posłuchacie tej płyty i nie będziecie mogli się od niej uwolnić. Od zaklętych w transowych aranżacjach melodii oraz od słów, które z jednej strony są tak bardzo Nosowskiej, a z drugiej – jak ona to robi? – znowu tak bardzo o nas.
