Reggae and independent music activists since 2001, Danakil have been travelling the roads of the world for over 15 years, delivering hundreds of hot lives that are a major part of the group’s success.
After 4 studio albums, 2 lives, and 2 albums “DUB” the band has lost none of its strength, its desire, and returns with a new raw stripping project. Called « La Rue Raisonne », this fifth opus brings the group to the front of the militant francophone and engaged scene. The first single « 32 Mars » was also a song composed on the sidelines of the concerts organized by the group and their entourage in support of the Night Stand movement.
Musically, the group never ceased to evolve, trusting the beatmakers « house » to muscle its productions. The result is a new generation roots reggae, well anchored in the tune of time, with mixed music, sincere humanism and the desire to say things as they come, to make a different voice heard.
Particular attention was also paid to the mixing of the album in a 100% analog studio, allowing the musicians to deliver a full-bodied, heavy bass album with a real depth of sound.
As for collaborations, Danakil again chose to indulge themselves by inviting the cream of the reggae and world scene. The German singer Pat....... more
