Daniel Johnston: "Over the past two or three decades’, electronic dance music has become a huge part of our culture. It’s hard to fathom just how many people connect and celebrate life by going to dance parties and raves. These gatherings are quite similar to tribal celebrations and rituals that have been around for thousands of years across all cultures in the world. The desire and need for those rituals remains and has become a fascination for us and we have made that trance-like hypnotic groove an essential part of our live performance, but it is also prevalent on a lot of the album. It's funny to think of it. Going back to prehistoric times, people dancing round a fire together! It's in our DNA"

Ostatnie cztery lata były bardzo intensywne dla zespołu My Baby. To holendersko-nowozelandzkie trio dowodzone przez wokalistkę Cato van Dijck powstało w 2012 roku w Amsterdamie. Cato, jej brat Sheik i Daniel Johnston wydali w 2013 roku swój pierwszy album "Loves Voodoo!", po którym nastąpiły niezliczone wystepy m.in. na Glastonbury, Lowlands czy Sziget Festival. Nie musiało długo trwać, by zarówno fani jak i krytycy zainteresowali się zespołem. Nawet bardzo krytyczna angielska prasa była zgodna co do świetlanej przyszłości My Baby: “Psychedelic tapestries of sounds” opisywał ich brzmienie Clash Magazine, Q Magazine z kolei: “acid-fried country stompers that will haunt your dreams for weeks”. W 2015 roku ukazała sie druga płyta "Shamanaid" a MY BABY zagrali w tym jednym roku ponda 200 koncertów, m.in. w Południowej Afryce, Nowej Zelandii, USA, Wielkiej Brytanii czy Niemczech. Supportowali Seasick Steve'a i Larry'ego Grahama, a w 2016 otrzymali nagrodę Edison Pop.
Teraz nagrali trzeci album "Prehistoric Rhyhtm":
