About the music of Andrzej Dudek-Dürer one can say that it transfers us in to a new era. In the time when information has become the dominating picture of the world – music is something more, for it stops time and refers to sensations touching on the transcendental. Music of Andrzej Dudek-Dürer some call modern, others use for its definition such names as ambient or New age, still for others it suggests associations with relaxation or meditation. The author himself describes his creations as metaphysical-telepathic ones, referring not only to the music, but also to every act of creation connected primarily with his own person and then with his environment, not only the closest one, but also the one filling up the territory of thought and cognition. Should one refer to the well-known popular types or styles of music, it could be defined as "soul" for, according to Andrzej's words "it is a music of the soul." And also being so deeply personal, it becomes a universal music: because everybody listening to it is capable of encompassing it in such a way that he can find there his personal problems, questions and issues, which do not appear in the ordinary experiencing of the reality. And this is the very thing that connects it with meditation. Meditation possesses its objects and levels. It happens that the listener is pleased achieving the state of pleasure or relaxation, it happens, that he discovers in himself such kind of reflection that he has never suspected himself of, but it also happens that he regards this music as something rapacious, something that makes one uneasy, creates a dissonance in his perception of the world, sometimes even to such a degree that in the music or in the world he begins to feel not too comfortable. MUZYKA Andrzeja DUDKA-DÜRERA wypływa z różnych źródeł. Artysta nie wypiera się inspiracji, które dla niejednego, przeciętnego odbiorcy, nie nawykłego do awangardy, wydawać się mogą odległe. Bo takimi są w swej istocie nagrania klasyczne, orientalne i ludowe i trudno je niekiedy skomunikować z niektórymi formami komercyjnej fonografii. A jeszcze do tego muzyka jazzowa i bardzo elitarne, niemal hermetyczne kręgi twórców i słuchaczy muzyki współczesnej, sukcesje tradycji zapoczątkowanej przez kompozytorów takich jak Stockhausen i Cage (...)



0 MUZYCE Andrzeja DUDKA-DÜRERA możemy powiedzieć, że przenosi nas w Nową Erę. W czasach, gdy dominującym obrazem świata stała się informacja – muzyka jest czymś więcej, albowiem zatrzymuje czas i odwołuje się do wrażeń dotykających transcendencji. Bywa, że słuchacz jest zadowolony osiągnąwszy stan zadowolenia czy relaksu, bywa, że odkrywa w sobie taki rodzaj refleksji, o jaki nigdy sam siebie by nie podejrzewał, lecz bywa i tak, że odbiera tę muzykę jako coś drapieżnego, coś, co niepokoi i powoduje dysonans w jego odczuwaniu świata, niekiedy wręcz taki, że albo w muzyce albo w świecie staje mu się nie nazbyt wygodnie.
